Pre-compressed BG1 expansion tape for wind- and driving-rain-resistant sealing of exterior connecting joints. UV and weather resistant, vapour permeable and suitable for 5–12 mm joint widths.
The blaugelb Expansion Tape 600 BG1 is a pre-compressed swelling tape designed for durable, weather-resistant sealing of exterior connecting joints.
Its polymer impregnation provides long-term stability, while the BG1 classification provides high resistance to wind and driving rain. The tape is designed to provide complete wind and water tightness against driving rain up to wind force 11 at building heights up to 100 metres.
With an Sd value of 0.5 m, the tape remains highly vapour permeable, helping moisture within the joint dry toward the exterior.
The controlled, slow expansion allows the tape to be applied directly from the roll before expanding to seal the joint. Once installed, the tape is UV and weather resistant and can also be painted or plastered where required.
This 15/5-12 mm version is designed for joints ranging from 5 to 12 mm and is supplied in 5.6 m rolls in anthracite.
