ZIP System™ R-Sheathing R-9.6 combines structural wall sheathing, continuous exterior insulation, and an integrated air and water-resistive barrier into one high-performance exterior wall solution.

R-9.6 features 1½" of rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, providing R-9.6 continuous insulation outside the wall framing. Installing insulation continuously across the exterior helps reduce thermal bridging through studs and improves the effective thermal performance of the complete wall assembly.

The exterior face incorporates ZIP System's integrated water-resistive barrier, eliminating the need for a separate layer of traditional housewrap. When seams, openings and penetrations are properly sealed using compatible ZIP System flashing tape or liquid flashing, the system provides continuous air and water protection for the exterior building envelope.

The 4' × 9' size provides additional vertical coverage compared with the standard 8' format, making it well suited for taller wall assemblies and potentially reducing the number of horizontal seams required during installation.

By combining structural sheathing, continuous insulation and weather protection into one product, ZIP System R-Sheathing helps reduce installation steps while providing a streamlined solution for high-performance and energy-efficient wall construction.
