ZIP System® Insulated R‑Sheathing

ZIP System™ R-Sheathing R-3.6 is an integrated exterior wall sheathing solution that combines structural sheathing, continuous exterior insulation, and a built-in air and water-resistive barrier into a single panel.

The R-3.6 panel incorporates ½" of rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, providing R-3.6 continuous insulation outside the wall framing. This continuous insulation layer helps reduce thermal bridging through studs and improves the overall thermal performance of the exterior wall assembly.

The exterior face features ZIP System's integrated water-resistive barrier, eliminating the need for a separate layer of traditional housewrap. When panel seams, openings, and penetrations are properly sealed with compatible ZIP System flashing tape or liquid flashing, the system creates a continuous air and water-resistive building envelope.

By combining structural sheathing, exterior insulation and weather protection into one panel, ZIP System R-Sheathing can simplify wall construction, reduce installation steps and provide a reliable solution for energy-efficient residential and light commercial projects.

R-9.6 features 1½" of rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, providing R-9.6 continuous insulation outside the wall framing. Installing insulation continuously across the exterior helps reduce thermal bridging through studs and improves the effective thermal performance of the complete wall assembly.
