Tremco Soft Type Backer Rod is a soft, pliable joint backing material designed for use behind sealants in expansion and contraction joints.

The 3/8" diameter rod helps establish proper sealant depth, provides a consistent surface for tooling and prevents three-sided adhesion. This allows the sealant to move more effectively with the joint and helps promote long-term joint performance.

Its soft, easily compressible construction simplifies installation, while the non-gassing material helps reduce the risk of sealant blistering if the backer rod is punctured during installation.
